GLOBALG.A.P. Senior Expert / Technical Key Account Aquaculture

Sessione: LAVORAZIONE, TRASFORMAZIONE, DISTRIBUZIONE DEL PRODOTTO ALLEVATO

Prendersi cura del consumatore. L’approvvigionamento responsabile a tutti gli stadi della produzione attraverso la certificazione per l’acquacoltura GLOBALG.A.P

GLOBALG.A.P. Aquaculture is a third party certification system. All stages of production need to be certified in order to claim certified status at point of sale: feed, hatcheries supplying seedlings, on-grown farming, harvesting and all post-harvest activities for traceability and mass balance through the Chain of Custody standard. It covers all farming production systems (including recirculation systems, aquaponics) for finfish, crustaceans and molluscs. The development is based on the FAO Technical Guidelines on Aquaculture Certification. Food safety is a core requirement and the GLOBALG.A.P. Aquaculture Standard is currently the only aquaculture certification program at farm level that is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The environmental criteria include biodiversity and protected areas, while animal welfare for aquatic species has also been included in more detail starting with the new Version 5. In addition to the existing areas of occupational health and safety, the risk assessment on social practices has become a major requirement for every audit. There are currently 30 species certified under this certification system in 29 countries worldwide. In order to increase the link between consumers and farmers, the GGN.ORG portal has been created. A consumer label is now available for all operations that wish to communicate to consumers the efforts behind GLOBALG.A.P. Aquaculture Certification.
