AlgaeFarm is an appointment dedicated to algaculture – taking place during AquaFarm – which wants to encrase visibility also to the algae farming sector, already present in the past editions.
AlgaeFarm will present the best professional realities dedicated to the algaculture supply chain, creating an opportunity for discussion among an ever growing sector. An appointment that not only gives the chance to meet operators of the sector, but only allows to take part to conferences and debates on research, cultivation technology development and algae and microalgae application.
A particular spotlight, indeed, will be dedicated to all future scenarios and applications of microalgae: from human and animal consumption, to sustainable energy production and biofuel upto its application in circular economy and the chemical and pharmaceutical sector.
The production and transformation of algae and microalgae is still a practice not widely spread which is encountering increasing opportunity for growth and development. Promoted by the European Union for the development of the Blu Economy and the bioeconomy, algaeculture offers the possibility to implementing in different area of interests, like agriculture and urban environment, guaranteeing a sustainable production, especially because it needs no soil nor high intakes of CO2.
