The concept of sustainability has been recently enriched with meanings that go beyond the strictly environmental one. This is well expressed in the 17 United Nations objectives for 2030. Social sustainability, in addition to being a value in itself, is a fundamental component for guaranteeing working conditions and competition equal, fair and safe for operators, workers, industry and consumer citizens alike.
