Aquaculture is now globally recognized as an indispensable tool to ensure the satisfaction of the current and future food and nutritional needs of the population. In European Unions’s policies, aquaculture is moreover considered a key factor in achieving the objectives of food, economic and social security that the UE has set itself with the NextGeneration Europe program. The strategic orientation must now be translated into actions and policies, articulated at the level of the EU, Member States and Regions.
