Abstract
One of the challenges of the SIMTAP project is to increase the sustainability of fish farming. If on one side the IMTA approach drives to several benefits, on the other side can require high amount of energy to keep specific environmental conditions in the farming systems, such as temperature, humidity, flows, oxygen, and more.
For this reason, a specific monitoring and control system was design and built allowing to monitor several environmental parameters including energy consumptions. The results of energy study and analysis based on the collected data during the project are reported; these results provide useful information for SIMTAP design and management.
