Agrivoltaic and Agrisolare: opportunities for the agri-food sector in the light of current legislation
Abstract
Integration of agri-voltaic and PV systems on the roofs of agricultural enterprises raises numerous relevant questions including understanding whether and how such systems can effectively satisfy energy consumption by contributing to the decarbonisation path of the sector within the EU objectives connected to the Green Deal and the Farm to Fork Strategy.
The development of photovoltaics, in addition to achieving the Italian energy objectives, outlined in the PNIEC, must improve the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises through a reduction in energy costs which are particularly relevant especially in sectors such as animal husbandry and aquaculture. In the light of recent regulatory interventions and the measures of the PNRR, I will illustrate the opportunities but also the criticalities of these technological solutions for businesses.
